Your body needs electrolytes to function, but should they come from a sports drink?

Your body loses electrolytes—minerals like sodium, potassium, and magnesium—every time you sweat. Common symptoms of electrolyte imbalance include muscle twitching and cramps, increased thirst, salt cravings, and irritability.
