On Feb. 18 Episcopal Community Services held its 8th Water to Wine Gala at Allen Airways Flying Museum. The event, sponsored by Barney & Barney, The Society of St. Paul, The Episcopal Diocese of San Diego, Bank of the West and Winfield Development, raised $110,000. The proceeds will benefit ECS Friend to Friend, a program for homeless adults with mental health disorders and ECS Para Las Familias, a mental health services program for young children. “This event was a great kick-off to our 90th birthday year,” said Lesslie Keller, CEO and Executive Director of ECS.

Guild Mortgage has established the Guild Giving Foundation to administer the company’s philanthropic and charitable giving initiatives in the communities it serves. Its first major commitment, Guild donated $116,000 to the Infinite Hero Foundation, which helps provide access to innovative rehabilitation programs that change the lives of disabled military veterans and their families. The funds will be used to purchase a wearable robotic exoskeleton from ReWalk Robotics, designed for individuals with spinal cord injury.
