The former Brooklyn Girl space on Goldfinch Avenue in Mission Hills was recently purchased by the owners of Trust and Fort Oak, and they’re going to convert it into Cardellino, an Italian-American restaurant. The company also closed down Hundred Proof, its bar on Park Boulevard, and has plans to remodel it into a mid-century steakhouse, called Rare Society.

La Jolla is getting its own Better Buzz location this weekend. It’s the tenth outpost for the local coffee chain, and we’re a fan of their mint-infused iced coffee. The grand opening is this Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Ambrogio15 is hosting a “wine and bites” class at its Little Italy Food Hall location on Tuesday, September 15. You get eight wine tastings paired with cicchetti, traditional Italian bar food.

Café Gratitude launched a new happy hour that celebrates Taco Tuesday five times a week. On weekdays from 3 to 6 p.m., the plant-based street tacos (mushroom, crispy potato and yam) and appetizers like jackfruit tinga tostada are available at discounted prices.

The Guadalupe Wine, Food & Musical Festival returns to Baja’s wine country on September 14. The all-day festival has a line-up of live bands and deejays, and features top chefs from throughout Mexico like Drew Deckman and Marco Carboni.
