Today, Michelin announced its Bib Gourmand honorees for the inaugural Michelin Guide California selection. The Bib Gourmand category is reserved for high-quality restaurants that include two courses and a glass of wine for $40 or less. The restaurants in San Diego earning Bib Gourmand honors include Campfire, Cucina Sorella, Cucina Urbana, El Jardin, Juniper & Ivy, Kettner Exchange, LOLA 55, and Solare.

Next week, Michelin will announce which restaurants will be awarded its highly coveted stars at an event in Huntington Beach, and we’re holding out hope that some of the other restaurants not mentioned (ahem, Addison, Nine-Ten, Market, some of our sushi restaurants) will get an even bigger nod with a star or two.
