Hillary Kerr

Hillary Kerr, the 33-year-old La Jolla native turned co-founder of Clique Media, is a bona fide expert at helping the masses decide what to wear and how to look their best. Here are a few picks at the top of her list.

Occupation: Co-founder of Clique Media, which includes WhoWhatWear.com (fashion), DomaineHome.com (home decor), and the just-launched Byrdie.com (beauty).

Background: She worked as an editor at ELLE magazine in New York, and her writing has appeared in Teen Vogue, Nylon, and Maxim. She’s also co-authored two books: What To Wear, Where and Who What Wear: Celebrity and Runway Style for Real Life.

Style: Hitchcock heroine gone bad.

Fashion Philosophy: “Always dress for your figure first. It doesn’t matter how on-trend or cool something is, if it doesn’t flatter you, it’s not worth buying. Also: gray goes with nothing, so therefore it goes with everything.”
