An art exhibit benefiting homeless veterans hits North Park

This week the Lafayette Hotel doubles as an art gallery. Local 27-year-old artist Yozamp will showcase a previously unseen collection of more than 25 original works, each with a collage made of signs collected from homeless veterans in San Diego County. And this Friday, pieces from the show will be auctioned off at a free exhibition party as well as online from 7-10 p.m. Half of the proceeds from the auction will go to the Veterans Village of San Diego, which assists homeless men and women who have recently returned from Iraq and Afghanistan with substance abuse or mental health issues.
