About the Event

Intersecciones at Park & Market brings you a free presentation of 11 documentaries about the world of Popular Art Design in Mexico.

“Artesanos de México: Popular Art Routes” is a 52 min long documentary, hosted by the renowned anthropologist Marta Turok. The documentary seeks to portray the work and technique of the most renowned Mexican artisans, on a journey where you will learn about the expressions of popular art in which the objects are the main characters of our history and culture. This will be followed by 10 three-minute documentaries portraying individual artists at their work. 90 minutes total. After the presentation of the documentaries, we will have a small presentation talk with two of the artists portrayed in the videos.
