Where:

Start on Santo Road in Tierrasanta just north of Remora Street. Follow the trail that starts at the East Shepherd Canyon sign.

Why We Love It:

This short dirt trail is shaded the whole way, making it a good option for hot summer months. The trail goes through a WWII Marine Corps training camp. A sign at the trailhead warns those passing through of unexploded shells, but fear not, the military has cleared the area.

Where to Refuel Afterward:

Try Island Style Cafe (5950 Santo Road) for Hawaiian-themed brunch or Industrial Grind Coffee (6020 Santo Road) for delicious coffee and baked goods.
