There is one part of Little Italy that’s yet to explode with hungry and thirsty humanity. Nolita Hall, a 3,000-square-foot European-inspired beer hall at the corner of India and Juniper, should change that. Taking its name from “North Little Italy,” it’s a $3 million-plus project from Black Swan Hospitality, designed by Tecture (Kettner Exchange).
It’s mostly a brew hall, but with a restaurant helmed by top-notch San Diego native Nathan Coulon (ex-True Food Kitchen). The menu focuses on wood-fired pizzas, meal-sized salads, and charcuterie plates; to drink, there’s amaro-forward Italian cocktails from Brian Prugalidad (ex-Polite Provisions), plus 24 craft beer taps. Take a seat at their giant U-shaped bar and behold those floor-to-ceiling windows and 60-foot skylight. The northern migration is here.
