As a child, Suzanne Barrow honed her teaching skills by offering lessons to her dolls. Now Francis Parker School’s Assistant Head of Lower School and Head of Integrative Programs, she models empowerment in a desk-free office filled with snacks, laughter, and fearless curiosity. A 5-year-old might come in for a behavioral “reset” only to leave in a giggle fit, all thanks to Barrow’s empathetic approach.
“Leadership is about creating spaces where others can flourish,” she says. Her goal is to ensure students leave not only academically strong but confident, compassionate, and brave enough to better the world.
