Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid estimated to be 50 times stronger than heroin and 100 times stronger than morphine. It’s often contaminated with other chemicals, making it even more dangerous. Fentanyl abuse is on the rise in San Diego and across the country, and health officials are issuing a dire warning: one pill can kill.
