San Diego International Film Festival will screen The Bachelors on July 18th. Starring J.K. Simmons, Josh Wiggins, Julie Delpy, Kevin Dunn, and Odeya Rusha, the film tells the story of a father (J.K. Simmons) who moves across the country with his teenage son (Josh Wiggins) for a private school teaching job after the early death of his wife. Two unique women (Julie Delpy and Odeya Rush) help them embrace life and love again. The film explores the effect of grief, the profound impact women have on the lives of men and the delicate beauty of mature and adolescent love. At once serious and light hearted, The Bachelors is a journey into what connects us and nourishes us as people.
A part of the SDiFF Film Insider Series, the screening is by invitation only as one of the perks for film festival pass holders. The event also includes a pre-cocktail reception and a post-screening discussion with producer Matt Baer.
