Ludivine & Guillaume Ryon

When Ludivine and Guillaume Ryon say that everything at Parfait Paris is made from scratch, they mean everything. There are no shortcuts here. Flaky croissant dough, creamy fillings, the chocolate curls atop a petit four—it’s all crafted here in SD by French bakers using top-notch ingredients.

Originally from Paris, the Ryons missed the legit French baked goods of their home country after moving to San Diego. So, they took matters into their own hands, opening Parfait Paris in 2014. Today, the award-winning bakery known for its croissants, macarons, and pastries has grown to nine locations. “Everything you see in our stores was made fresh at our central bakery that day,” Guillaume says. “It always looks good, but it tastes even better.”

This month, visitors at Parfait Paris can enjoy seasonal galette des rois, or king cake. Later this year, get ready for a new side to Parfait Paris: The Ryons plan to open a store at their India Street location with special events, bakery tours, and more.
