This flash-mob dinner party trend started in Europe in 1988. San Diego continues the tradition with its own version, hosted by H Events. Party planners kept the location a secret until the day of the event, but spread the news through word of mouth and social media. About 1,000 people, dressed in white, attended. Next year the organizers hope to triple that number.
