Jordana Tello is one of Mexico’s designers of the moment. Her haute jewelry pieces and artful shell clutches have graced the pages of Harper’s Bazaar en Español and Elle México. Tello hails from Ensenada, and currently resides in Mexico City. She spent several years in Europe studying metalwork and learning from the best goldsmiths in Italy, eventually earning a master’s degree from a university in Florence. Pictured left is her La Blue Belle abalone clutch ($1,110), inspired by nature and the ocean where she grew up. Note its signature mother-of-pearl coloring, which changes hue with each flash of light. The clutch also comes with an optional shoulder chain. jordanatello.com
