The 27th annual Fur Ball honored Paul E. Jolly, founder of the Petco Foundation, for his widespread involvement with animals in San Diego and across the United States. The event raised $330,000 in support of local animal community programs and the universal humane treatment of animals. Around 670 animal lovers and 200 canine companions walked the red carpet in formal black-tie ensembles and were treated to an elegant cocktail hour followed by a French-style sit-down dinner, dancing, and a live and silent auction.
