Deep Breathing

Deep breathing is an awesome stress buster. Get situated in a comfortable position, breathe in slowly through your nose until your lungs are full, then exhale through your mouth. There are several different breathing patterns, including “box breathing,” in which you inhale for four counts, hold for four more, exhale for four counts, then hold again for four counts. Try a few and find what works best for you.

Yoga

With origins in ancient India, yoga melds movement and mindfulness. It has been shown to increase flexibility, reduce anxiety, and may even boost immunity. Sleep Hygiene

We all need sleep, but it’s estimated that a third of us don’t get enough. Craft a routine to get the most out of your z’s. Set a bedtime and wakeup time and stick with them even on the weekends, avoid electronics for about an hour before bed, and make sure your sleep space is quiet, dark, and cool.
