More than 30 former NFL players and family members gathered for an evening of live cooking demos from Sam the Cooking Guy and Catalina Offshore’s Tommy Gomes. The celebrity chef duo made yellowtail sushi and tacos, a salmon tartare, and an Asian filet for the attendees. NFLPA’s San Diego chapter holds events once a month for former NFL players, most of whom reside in the San Diego area. The organization provides programs and services designed to support former football players and their families through successful navigation in their lives after the game, as well as positively impacting the communities in which they live.
