Lunar New Year Celebration at Carlsbad Premium Outlets

About the Event

Carlsbad Premium Outlets wishes you and your family good fortune and happiness in 2024, the Year of the Dragon. As one of San Diego’s premier shopping destinations, Carlsbad Premium Outlets is proud to celebrate the diverse cultural heritage of the Asian-American community in San Diego.

Families, residents and visitors are welcome to join the celebrations at the property and explore the limited edition products our top brands have to ring in the Lunar New Year on Saturday, Feb. 24 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.:

Cultural Inspired Dance Performance (4 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.): A popular event during the holiday, lion dances are believed to scare away evil spirits and bring in good luck into the new year. Visitors can enjoy a special live performance from the award-winning Southern Sea Dragon and Lion Dance Association. The performance will be taking place at Center Court near Gap and Tommy Hilfiger.

Arts & Crafts: Children of all ages can create Year of the Dragon paper lanterns.

Free Gift for VIP Shopper Club Members: VIP Shopper Club Members can receive a Year of the Dragon commemorative plush dragon with a tote box filled with an activity book and an individually wrapped snack– while supplies last. Visitors can sign up for the VIP Shopper Club program at this link or TEXT VIP219 to 74666.

Exclusive Deals and Discounts: Retailers like Coach, Kate Spade New York, Kipling, Lacoste, and Zumiez are offering limited-edition, Year of the Dragon-themed items, plus enhanced deals and offers just in time for Lunar New Year.
