Habitat Restoration in Manzanita Canyon

About the Event

Come meet new people, network, and start your Saturday morning outside with your hands in the soil! Bring your friends and family, or come solo!

Join San Diego Canyonlands in maintaining two restoration sites to improve the landscape and conditions for wildlife.

Home to milkweed and other native plants, this Manzanita Canyon is a popular trail that is used often. San Diego Canyonlands wants to make sure the trails are clear and that the native plants are safe from potential fire. Your work will also assure that the plants present in the canyon will continue to thrive and be resilient in the face of the ever-present danger of climate change.

Volunteers will be removing invasive plants and providing trail maintenance.
