Tamale-Making Class and Coursed Dinner with Chef Marcos Seville at Rumorosa

Executive Chef Marcos Seville invites guests and locals to an unforgettable culinary evening at Rumorosa, the flagship restaurant located at Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina on Harbor Island. On Tuesday, December 12, beginning at 5:30 pm, join fellow amateur chefs for a Tamale-Making Class and Coursed Dinner Experience, celebrating the rich culinary traditions of the season with a modern Cali-Baja twist.

The evening begins with a hands-on tamale-making class, where Chef Marcos will guide the group through masa preparation, wrapping, and steaming techniques to craft a dozen tamales to take home. Each guest will also receive a recipe booklet to recreate the experience in their own kitchen, as well as a Rumorosa branded apron.

Following the interactive class, enjoy a family-style coursed dinner paired with exceptional wines from the Cali-Baja region that inspires Rumorosa’s vibrant menu. The curated menu features bold Mexican flavors, starting with fresh Guacamole punctuated with spicy cotija and pomegranate seeds, Baby Kale Salad with smoked almonds and ruby grapes, locally sourced Baja ceviche, and more. Entrées include Chef Marcos’ signature tamales, Pacific Seabass Veracruz-style, Roasted Organic Chicken with mole negro, and Prime NY Strip Steak. The evening concludes with seasonal desserts crafted by Rumorosa’s in-house pastry chef.
