Plus Promises2Kids brings home $1.25 million during its concert gala

By Erin Meanley Glenny

The 10th Annual Red Shoe Day raised an estimated $253,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego. An enthusiastic and record-breaking corps of 1,600 volunteers collected donations at about 200 intersections dotted throughout the County. The money will help families with a child in treatment at local hospitals. Ronald McDonald House provides meals, lodging, and emotional support while the child is in the hospital.
