Two of San Diego’s biggest craft beer and food obsessed events return starting this week at venues across the county, with a few not-to-be-missed headliners.
San Diego Beer Week
Where: Various locations
When: November 3 to 11
It’s not easy to keep up with all the openings, new releases, and trends shaping San Diego’s vast beer scene. So San Diego Beer Week is the perfect time to play catch-up on 130 local breweries. The annual weeklong beer fest consists of a dizzying number of events taking place around the county. Enjoy new brews, deals, and other specials at scavenger hunts, can release parties, yoga-plus-beer sessions, brunch, pup parties, and more. Kick the week off right at the 60-brewery-strong Guild Fest, which begins with a pre-party harbor cruise before unfolding at Embarcadero Marina Park South (November 3; general admission tickets $50). Close things off with a bang in the beer garden at The Lodge at Torrey Pines, where more than a dozen chefs will pair food with 28 breweries for unlimited sips and bites (November 11; tickets $85).
Carlsbad Village Fair
Where: Grand Avenue, Carlsbad
When: November 4, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
No fewer than 800 vendors will set up shop this Sunday for the twice-annual, one-day street fair—the biggest in the US, expected to draw 100,000 visitors. Fifty food booths will stretch along 14 blocks of Grand Avenue, promising virtually unlimited options for browsing bites and boutiques.
