Adam Becker is a science journalist with a PhD in astrophysics, and he has a bone to pick with the pseudo-scientific claims of some noted tech moguls. Join Library Shop SD for a fascinating and empowering author talk, as Dr. Becker presents More Everything Forever: AI Overlords, Space Empires, and Silicon Valley’s Crusade to Control the Fate of Humanity.

When figures like Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos and Sam Altman make big claims about science and the future of humanity, it’s tempting to take them at their word — but beneath those big claims about AI, “earning to give,” and space travel, closer examination often reveals a blend of junk science, cultish mania, and political power grabs. Are they driving us toward the future, or steering the world off-course?
