Art + Design Workshop: Ink & Impression

Join us for the Timken’s Art + Design Workshop: Ink & Impression. Set within the Museum’s intimate Central Gallery and led by San Diego artist Nina Lubarksy, students will learn the ancient art form of block printing, a practice of celebrating imperfection and finding new perspective and discovery. Over the course of two hours, Nina will provide guidance on how to design and carve designs and block printing techniques, transforming everyday objects into works of art.

All workshop materials are provided to create your own custom Tote Bag or Notecard Set along with mimosas and light refreshments.

About the Artist: Nina Lubarksy is an artist and graphic designer based in Oceanside, but she can be found in various places throughout the year exploring nature and experiencing diverse cultures. As someone who has struggled with perfectionism, Nina is inspired by the tactile process of block printing, developing art that recognizes the beautiful imperfection that makes us human; the perfection that is imperfection itself.
