Binational Race 2026: San Diego–Tijuana Cross-Border Experience

Binational Race returns on October 25, 2026, bringing runners from San Diego and Tijuana together for a race that crosses the U.S.-Mexico border. Now in its third edition, the event features a Half Marathon (21K), a new 12K, and a 10K.

The Half Marathon and 12K start in San Diego and cross into Mexico on foot before finishing in Playas de Tijuana. Along the way, runners experience one of the most distinctive parts of the race: a mariachi welcome at the border crossing. The 10K takes place entirely in Tijuana. The day continues at the finish line in Playas de Tijuana with live music, food, and cultural performances.

Binational Race brings together runners and communities from both sides of the border for a day centered on running, culture, and the connection between San Diego and Tijuana.
