Learn from an expert! Without a brush, knife, or palette to interfere, students will have the opportunity to apply color mixing, layering, and the versatility of oil pastel in landscape, still life, the figure, and mixed media. We will explore types of oil pastels, application surfaces, and techniques (scratchboard, turpentine washes, collage). Susan will provide lots of individualized instruction as well as help in drawing and critique.

Materials: Drawing paper at least 11” x 14”; Cray-Pas Expressionist oil pastels; 5B drawing pencil. A more complete supply list will be given at the first meeting.
