About the Event

The 2025 summer racing season at the Del Mar racetrack kicks off with Opening Day on Friday, July 18. Returning to the tradition of Friday Opening Days, this iconic event marks the start of the 86th annual season and is SoCal’s biggest party of the year! Experience The Grand at the Turf Club East Terrace, where curated cocktails from Blade and Bow’s master mixologists can be enjoyed alongside a vast buffet including offerings from Michelin-Starred Chef, Brandon Rodgers. Don’t forget about the Opening Day Hat Contest when prepping your fun outfit for the day. Also, join in on even more camaraderie and check out The Party presented by Pacifico, featuring world-class DJs, craft beers & cocktail bars and photo booths.
