About the Event

Join University Club San Diego on Friday, June 5, from 6-7:30 pm for a powerful Juneteenth celebration honoring the resilience, endurance, and collective journey of Black communities throughout history. Inspired by the beloved gospel hymn composed by Albert A. Goodson, this event explores how art has preserved, shaped, and advanced the narrative of freedom across generations. Through music, visual art, spoken word, and multimedia storytelling, attendees will experience an immersive reflection on faith, struggle, triumph, and the enduring spirit of moving forward with “no turning back.” Tickets are priced at $15 for members and $25 for non-members; RSVP via the Invited app or Eventbrite link.
