Lucas Smith Solo Art Exhibition Reception & Artist Talk

Award-winning contemporary abstract artist Lucas Smith presents a Featured Artist solo exhibition at Foothills Art Association Gallery in La Mesa, now through December 29.

This collection explores a limited palette inspired by the color, texture, and movement of the natural world. Bold yet balanced, the works reflect an ongoing dialogue between the natural and the abstract, the calm and the chaotic. Many of the works feel like self-contained worlds—complete, centered, and endlessly unfolding.

Lucas’s work has been juried into dozens of exhibitions across San Diego County’s leading galleries, earning more than fifteen awards.

A free public Artist Reception will be held Saturday, December 20, from 12–3 PM, where Lucas will share insights into his process and techniques. Come enjoy refreshments and experience one of San Diego’s premier contemporary artists.
