Memory Work: The Radical Act of Remembering

Join us for an exciting and inspiring evening with memory keepers, artists, and community leaders from the vibrant San Diego-Tijuana region! Discover how “memory work” and art come together to empower communities like the Promise Zone and celebrate the stories that make us who we are.

The night kicks off with 30 minutes of casual mixing and mingling, followed by an engaging 1-hour panel and discussion that’s sure to spark new ideas. We’ll wrap up with some laid-back time to connect and reflect.

This FREE event, led by San Diego Made resident artist Natalia Venture, is part of the “My Creative Journey/Mi Viaje Creativo” artist residency and event series, supported by the City of San Diego Arts & Culture Commission.

All ages are welcome, and Spanish interpreters will be available.

Arte De Memorias: El Acto Radical De Recordar

Escucha a un panel de artistas y organizadores comunitarios que trabajan con la memoria cultural en San Diego-Tijuana. Aprende sobre el concepto de trabajo de memoria y cómo puede entrelazarse con el arte para fortalecer comunidades como la Zona Promesa. El evento se dividirá en 30 minutos de socialización, 1 hora de charla, y 30 minutos para concluir.

Este evento GRATUITO es dirigido por la artista residente de San Diego Made, natalia ventura, como parte de la serie de eventos y residencia artística “My Creative Journey/Mi Viaje Creativo”, apoyada en parte por la Comisión de Arte y Cultura de la Ciudad de San Diego.

Todas las edades son bienvenidas, y se proporcionarán intérpretes en español.
