PAWmicon soars back to AleSmith Brewing Company July 20th.

Helen Woodward Animal Center announces the return of the most ambitious cross-over event in the history of pets and PUP-culture – PAWmicon! The adorable event invites pets (and their people) to celebrate the spectacular feats of superhero adopters at this annual Pop Culture-themed Dog Cosplay spectacle.

The event happens Sunday, July 20, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at AleSmith Brewing Company, located at 9990 AleSmith Ct, San Diego, CA 92126.

This family-friendly event is FREE to attend and encourages Pop-Culture Fanatics to grab their canine (or feline) sidekick and celebrate with themed photo backdrops, animal art vendors, musical bingo, games and activities for kids, opportunity drawings, food trucks and more.

The highlight of the event is the all-important PAWSplay Costume Contest for superheroes and their heroic pets. The PAWSplay contest has three separate categories designed to spread out the fun, including: Superheroes & Super Villains; Pop Culture Pets, and Dynamic Duos, Trios & More.

PAWsplay Contest entries are $20 per pet, per category. Musical Bingo entries are $10 per bingo card. 2024 limited-edition PAWmicon t-shirts can be purchased for $25.

Admission to PAWmicon is FREE but tickets should be reserved in advance.

For true super-fans, PAWmicon is offering $30 Limited Edition VIP Lounge Tickets that include a lunchbox from Raising Canes, a beer from Ale Smith Brewing Company, sweets from Nothing Bundt Cakes, a gift bag from Kahoots Feed and Pet, and premium viewing of the PAWsplay Contest.
