Difficulty Level

Distance

7.3 miles out and back

Good to Know

Dog Friendly Free Parking

Where

Park in the lot on Sunset Drive next to I-15 and take the trail along the highway. At 1.8 miles, turn right to follow Summit Trail to the top.

Why We Love It

It takes you past the longest stressed ribbon bridge in the world and brings you away from the highway through beautiful meadows and marshes.

Where to Refuel

Get kebabs, gyros, and falafel at Pioneer Organic Cuisine in Westfield North County. Or venture farther to Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens (1999 Citracado Parkway, Escondido) for beers and upscale pub fare on the garden patio.
