Las Patronas’ 79th Annual Jewel Ball: Back En Pointe

August 2

Enjoy the beauty of ballet and the elegance of Paris at Las Patronas’ 79th annual Jewel Ball: Back En Pointe. The glamorous evening at the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club will raise money to fund grants to various local nonprofits. 

Curebound Cancer Challenge

Padres Pedal the Cause has expanded and rebranded as the Curebound Cancer Challenge. Raise money for cancer research by biking the coast, running a 10K, walking a 5K, or participating in a high-intensity spin class at UC San Diego’s RIMAC field. 

Farm to Bay 2025

August 2

Living Coast Discovery Center’s signature fundraising event combines food and wine with amazing views and animal encounters. Now in its 16th year, Farm to Bay supports sustainability, education, and conservation programs at the Chula Vista environmental education center.

Haute with Heart Fashion Show 2025 

August 2

Enjoy a gourmet luncheon and a day of fashion at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront to benefit programs at St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This year’s theme is “London Calling,” a celebration of British fashion and culture. 

CaddyHack Golf Festival 

August 4

Golf for good at the annual CaddyHack Golf Festival at Fairbanks Ranch Country Club. This lively tournament benefits Boys to Men Mentoring, an organization that introduces positive male role models into the lives of local teen boys. 

Alpha Project’s 15th Annual Charity Golf Classic 

August 8

Tee off and help homeless San Diegans at Alpha Project’s 15th Annual Charity Golf Classic. The four-person scramble at the Rancho Bernardo Inn will help the Alpha Project empower individuals and families by providing work, recovery, and support services. 

Patrons of the Prado Masterpiece: Elegance of the Elements 

August 9

Inspired by the elements—earth, water, air, and fire—the Patrons of the Prado Masterpiece Gala benefits arts, science, and cultural centers in Balboa Park. It also funds the Patrons of the Prado’s signature Bucks4Buses program, which gives local kids the opportunity to experience Balboa Park institutions.

La Jolla Music Society’s Summerfest Gala

August 9

La Jolla Music Society supporters will converge at a private residence for music, fine wine, dinner, and dancing. The highly anticipated event benefits the La Jolla Music Society’s learning and engagement programs for children and adults.

Symphony at Salk’s Concert Under the Stars

August 17

The San Diego Symphony and special guest, Emmy- and Tony award–winning singer and actress Kristin Chenoweth, will take the stage in the Salk Institute’s oceanfront courtyard for its Concert Under the Stars.

Human Rights Campaign San Diego Gala Dinner

Help Human Rights Campaign San Diego’s volunteers create impactful change for the local LGBTQ+ community. The dinner at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront aims to raise funds to defend LGBTQ+ freedoms amid a daunting political climate. 

Wounded Warrior Project Carry Forward 5K

Run or walk through NTC Park at Liberty Station to support injured veterans and their families. Carry Forward 5K participants can choose to carry a flag, a weight, or even another person to show their support. 

A Million Steps for Scleroderma San Diego

August 17

Raise critical funds for research of scleroderma, a rare autoimmune condition, at the Scleroderma Foundation of California’s charity walk at NTC Park at Liberty Station. 

Shelter to Soldier’s 13th Annual Be the Light Gala

August 24

The 13th annual Be the Light Gala at L’Auberge Del Mar will benefit Shelter to Soldier, which trains rescue dogs to be service animals for veterans. Guests will enjoy musical entertainment, small bites and libations, a three-course dinner, and memorable moments with veteran recipients and the Shelter to Soldier staff.
