Have an idea on how to improve your neighborhood? Always wanted a better park, a fun block party, or a local community fair, but lacked the funds to make it happen? The San Diego Foundation is offering up more than a dozen grants this year for just those kinds of projects. Anyone can apply for the $1,000–$5,000 grants at sdfoundation.org, as long as you have nonprofit status or a partner (like a church or community group). Applications are due March 10. Winners will get funding for their idea and also mentorship and assistance with things like permitting and outreach. Start thinking, neighbors!
