Coronado Dog Beach is less than a mile away, and The Del hosts Yappy Hour every Sunday from 4 to 5 p.m. Dogs can lap up complimentary Evian and organic gourmet dog treats, while owners sip dog-themed cocktails, like the Greyhound.

The hotel’s Very Important Pet Package includes a leash and jeweled bag dispenser, water dish, dog bed, and Do Not Disturb Dog door hanger, plus nightly turndown with treats for both dog and owner. You can tack on à la carte options like doggie yoga, canine massages, and surf lessons for you and your pup.

Catamaran Resort Hotel & Spa
Every Evans Hotels property (Catamaran, The Lodge at Torrey Pines, and Bahia) is dog friendly, but Catamaran hosts a Yappy Hour at Moray’s restaurant every Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m., when owners are invited to bring their dogs and enjoy drink and food specials on the patio.
Fee: $75 per stay
Fine print: Individual pooches must weigh 50 pounds or less; two dogs must weigh less than 75 total. They don’t accommodate pit bulls or Rottweilers.
Hotel Republic
This Core-Columbia hotel provides a water bowl, cushy dog bed, and personalized welcome sign for each four-legged guest. Their Pooch Package includes all of the above, plus in-room dinner consisting of rice, veggies, and housemade bone broth, plus treats. Or head to their adjacent Patio Marketplace eatery on Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. for Yappy Hour, with drinks and bites for you, and biscuits and “beer” for them.
Fee: $75 per night ($100 hotel pet fee is waived with package)
Fine print: Up to two dogs who weigh no more than 50 pounds combined.

Paradise Point Resort & Spa
Cats and dogs can walk all 44 acres of this Mission Bay property. Ground-floor bungalows nix any issues with pets who hate stairs or elevators, and there’s a pet-friendly waterfront restaurant. They can expect a water bowl and treats upon check-in.
Fee: $250 per stay paid in advance ($100 of which serves as a deposit to be refunded upon departure so long as the room remains in clean condition)

Rancho Bernardo Inn
Amenities for cats and dogs at this hotel with a golf course, spa, and pet-friendly outdoor include a personalized water bowl to take home, treats, and waste bags.

Manchester Grand Hyatt
The downtown hotel overlooking the bay welcomes pooches with a bed and a dog-friendly menu at the on-site Sally’s Fish House & Bar. They can feast on Pupcakes with a peanut butter spread, rawhide bones, grilled chicken with rice, and a frozen yogurt Pawpsicle, paired with a Your Best Buds Brew—aka from-scratch bone broth.
Fee: $100 per stay up to six nights (additional $100 from seven to 30 nights)
Fine print: Dogs must weigh 50 pounds or less, with up to two per room, so long as their combined weight doesn’t exceed 75 pounds.
