Your body has collagen in practically every part, including your muscles, tendons, and skin. It is one of the body’s most prevalent proteins and contains various amino acids such as proline, glycine, and hydroxyproline. Strong fibers found in collagen function as a binding agent to maintain the integrity of all the connective tissues in our bodies.
It is the primary protein element that aids in improving the hydration and flexibility of your skin. The connective tissues throughout your body are also strengthened by collagen. Additionally, collagen helps to produce hair protein, which improves the condition of hair. As we get older, the production of collagen decreases, which is why taking collagen gummies is beneficial.
The popularity of collagen gummies is due to their benefits when consumed regularly. Collagen gummies are a delicious and healthy way to enjoy collagen supplements. The collagen gummies benefits are listed below.
Our skin’s outer layer is mostly made up of collagen, a protein containing amino acids. It helps maintain our skin health, such as hydration, reducing wrinkles and fine lines, and improving elasticity while slowing down aging.
However, our body’s collagen production dips as we age, bringing issues like dryness and dullness of the skin. Supplements like Collagen gummies can help revamp collagen production and keep your skin glowing and healthy.
Collagen is also necessary for strong hair and nails. It strengthens your hair, keeps it from breaking, and makes nails flexible and strong. Collagen gummies might promote nail growth, strengthen hair, and lessen hair loss. Also, collagen gummies will strengthen your hair and nails and improve their quality. Collagen has the same effect on nail beds, strengthening them and lowering breaking and brittleness.
To preserve joint mobility and lessen joint pain, collagen functions as a lubricant and shock absorber in joints. When collagen production decreases, it weakens joint cartilage, which causes stiffness and pain in the joints. Collagen gummies increase joint suppleness and ease osteoarthritis-related joint discomfort. Additionally, it can greatly lessen inflammation. As collagen is an element of the bone matrix, it might help to preserve bone density.
As collagen maintains the integrity of the intestinal lining, it may help to keep your gut relatively healthy. Taking collagen gummies regularly may help to enhance gut health by decreasing intestinal permeability and encouraging the growth of advantageous gut bacteria.
As plenty of collagen gummies are in the market, we considered essential factors like brand value, safety, effectiveness, and cost to find the best collagen gummies. Here, let’s talk about these parameters in detail:
Brand value is a critical factor in determining the trustworthiness and quality of collagen gummies. We considered factors such as the brand’s reputation, history, buyer reviews, and industry recognition. Our experts evaluated the brand’s transparency regarding its sourcing, manufacturing processes, and ingredient quality. We gave priority to the reputable brands that produce high-quality gummies.
Safety is vital when considering collagen gummies. We thoroughly evaluated the list of ingredients of each product, making sure that the gummies were free from artificial sweeteners, harmful additives, allergens, etc. Our team also checked for third-party certifications and lab test results to ensure quality, safety, and transparency. In this list, we only added the brands of gummies that are made with high-quality, natural, and non-toxic ingredients.
We also consider the effectiveness of collagen gummies to check if they can deliver the desired benefits. Our team checks the amount and type of collagen used, supporting ingredients and their percentage, and scientific proof supporting the effectiveness of the specific formula. For instance, Type I and III collagen offers the most benefits for your skin health. An adequate dosage of collagen per serving is essential to get the best results.
Even though cost is not the sole determining factor, it played an important role in curating this list of the best collagen gummies. We compared the costs of different collagen gummies, considering the amount of collagen per serving, the overall quality of ingredients used, and buyer feedback to determine if they were worth the cost. All the collagen gummies in our list offer the best value for your money.
As numerous brands of collagen gummies are available in the market, it can be difficult to choose the best. To buy the best collagen gummies, it is best to pay attention to the following factors.
The ingredients used in the collagen gummies are vital for their effectiveness and safety. It is best to choose gummies that have high-quality collagen and other ingredients. Different types of collagen are used in gummies, such as Type I, Type II, Type III, Type V, Type X, Hydrolyzed collagen peptides, and Marine collagen peptides.
The best gummies will have other ingredients like Biotin, Hyaluronic Acid, Zinc, Sea Moss, Keratin, Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and many more. Make sure to avoid buying collagen gummies that comprise preservatives, artificial sweeteners, fillers, etc.
The dosage of collagen in the gummies is essential for the best results. The average dose of collagen between 2.5 to 5 grams is the best for skin health ranges. It is best to inspect the collagen dosage per serving on the label to make sure you are buying gummies with adequate amounts of collagen. Choose the collagen gummies that have about 2 to 10 grams of collagen per serving.
It is recommended to select collagen gummies from reputable brands known for their quality and safety. Search and identify brands that have third-party testing certifications that verify the purity and effectiveness of the collagen ingredients. You can also go through the brand history and online feedback to know more about the reputation of the brand.
Even though price is one of the main factors to consider, it is best not to compromise on the quality of the gummies. You can compare the prices of collagen gummies from different brands and check the ingredients and dosage to know if they are worth the money.
Read online customer reviews as they will help you know the effectiveness of the collagen gummies and the personal feedback of the users. You can check the ratings and reviews from the official website and other rating platforms. This way, you will easily know if there are any potential issues. Avoid choosing gummies with poor reviews and low ratings.
When picking collagen gummies, watch out for a few things. First, skip collagen products that contain artificial sweeteners. You’d want your collagen gummies to be clean and natural for the best health benefits. Ensure the product clearly states the origin of its collagen, specifying whether it’s sourced from plants or animals.
Stay away from sugar-packed gummies. They’re tasty but not so good for you and can spoil the collagen’s benefits for your skin. Also, ignore wild claims. If a brand says its gummies do wonders fast, it’s probably false. Choose ones that are straight about what they do and have good reviews from people.
By keeping these tips in mind, you’ll find a collagen gummy that’s both healthy and effective.
You can buy collagen supplements in different forms, such as gummies, powder, and gelatin. However, compared to any other form of collagen supplement, gummies are the most popular among the buyers. This is because gummies are tasty, easy to consume, and easily incorporated into everyday diets. Additionally, they are available in numerous flavors to suit various customers.
Yes, you can take biotin and collagen together. These supplements are often used in combination to support hair, skin, and nail health. They work in different ways, so taking both can be beneficial for overall wellness, but be mindful of the dosage.
There is no fixed time to consume collagen gummies. You can try taking these gummies at different times and find out which works best for you. Do collagen gummies work when taken after your meal? Yes, it is best to consume collagen gummies after your meal so you do not feel nauseous. Take 1 or 2 gummies a day for the best results.
Yes. Collagen gummies are legal and are considered safe for daily usage in the recommended dosage. Even though all the gummies are legal, it is best to use collagen gummies that are made from 100% natural and non-toxic ingredients and are sugar-free, gluten-free, and non-GMO certified.
It depends on the dosage of collagen per serving. If the collagen powder and gummies have the same amount of collagen, like 2.5 grams of collagen, then they both work the same. The only difference between collagen powder vs gummies is that gummies taste better and are available in a wide range of tasty flavors.
Gummies are often considered the most effective form of collagen. They’re easy to consume, especially for those who dislike swallowing pills or mixing powders. Their tasty flavors encourage regular use, ensuring consistent collagen intake for better results.
Without a doubt, collagen gummies are the best way to add collagen to your diet, and they are delicious. Consuming these gummies daily will strengthen your nails, hair, and joints and enhance the radiant glow of your skin. Even though collagen gummies offer numerous benefits, you need to take them regularly for a long time to see the results.
Compared to other forms of collagen, collagen gummies are very tasty and easy to consume. If you want to try collagen gummies, you can choose any of the above-listed collagen gummies as they are made of natural ingredients, are certified, and offer the best long-term results.
Yes, Chef! winner Emily Brubaker leads the robust culinary program at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa
For Executive Chef Emily Brubaker, Omni La Costa Resort & Spa feels like home. She grew up just a mile-and-a-half away from the 400-acre property and fondly recalls walking the golf course perimeter as a kid. Though her ambitions led her away from San Diego for nearly two decades in which she honed her craft in some of the highest of high-profile Las Vegas restaurants—including triple Michelin-starred Joël Robuchon at MGM Grand—they ultimately brought her back to North County.

Today, the classically French-trained chef, who’s fresh off a victory on NBC’s Yes, Chef!, judged by Martha Stewart and José Andrés, oversees Omni La Costa Resort & Spa’s seven distinct dining concepts. Her goal is to elevate the resort’s culinary program with her creative, hyperlocal ingredient-driven approach while maintaining the Spanish- inspired flavors and fresh California coastal cuisine that are the bedrock of its culinary identity.
“The San Diego food scene is really growing, and in North County alone, it’s really exploded in the last five years,” Brubaker says. “There are Michelin stars, beautiful tasting menus, craft bakers, and all this food—when I was growing up in La Costa, it was fish tacos. Now there are really cool things popping up, and I’m so happy to be here to see where it’s going to go.”
Brubaker gives chefs de cuisine at each individual restaurant autonomy, however, her influence is evident across the resort.
For example, lobby restaurant Bar Traza serves as Omni La Costa’s culinary centerpiece and features bold Spanish flavors in a lively, social atmosphere. Brubaker overhauled the menu to be more consistent and centered on casual bites with that signature vibe. Think smoky paprika, vibrant citrus, and Spanish meats and cheeses.
At VUE, the focus is on seasonal offerings, California coastal cuisine, and Baja-inspired dishes. She and Chef de Cuisine Cameron Dixon change the menu biannually, which heading into summer, will highlight farm-fresh produce and hyperlocal ingredients—the resort even has its own herb garden and honeybee hives.

Poolside dining options are leaning into the country’s 250th this summer with a selection of classic American dishes with an Omni La Costa twist. And Bob’s Steak & Chop House (Brubaker is a trained butcher) offers a classic steakhouse experience with elevated service.
The chef and company also plan menus for special events at the resort where her creativity can really shine. For an upcoming National Ski Association dinner, the banquet hall will be transformed into an Alpine-themed winter wonderland complete with a snow machine, savory sausages, and melty, decadent raclette. A recent dinner was built around the Carlsbad Flower Fields and each course was matched to a color of ranunculus (Did you know pink dragonfruit are grown in North County? You do now.).
“It’s my zen to be in the kitchen playing with food,” Brubaker says.
Omni La Costa’s culinary program is a key part of the resort experience. And with Brubaker’s leadership, it’s becoming a draw for visitors and locals alike.
“These aren’t just hotel restaurants, these are restaurants that you should go to. They’re destinations, and I’m really hoping for the future that’s where we’re going,” Brubaker says.

Brubaker is also channeling her experience on Yes, Chef! into the culture at Omni La Costa—more emphasis on teamwork and collaboration, empowering her staff to share constructive critiques, and embracing different perspectives. Alongside her leadership role, Brubaker has become an advocate for mental health in the hospitality industry, serving as chief ambassador for the Burnt Chef Project and serves on the Board of Advisors for the Apex Culinary Program, where she mentors and develops future talent.

San Diego Magazine's 2026 Guide to Balboa Park.
Balboa Park is San Diego’s cultural heart.
The iconic 1,200-acre preserve’s history dates back more than 150 years, evolving from a scrub-filled plot atop a mesa overlooking what’s now Downtown to an urban oasis—the largest of its kind in the country—filled with an array of museums, attractions, gardens, trails, restaurants, and more. Balboa Park is an epic playground where San Diegans and visitors alike can experience the great outdoors just as easily as they can enjoy a world-class performance or explore groundbreaking discoveries.
Tucked away in the Spanish Colonial Revival-style architecture are 18 diverse museums that allow visitors to spend the day learning about, well, anything. A great place to start is the San Diego History Center. Located in the Casa del Balboa building, the museum tells the story of the city’s past, present, and future through photographs and art, clothing and textiles, and interviews with people who witnessed history-making events firsthand. The San Diego Natural History Museum takes visitors even farther back with interactive exhibitions that show what the region was like up to 75 million years ago.
Blast off on a simulated trip to space at the San Diego Air & Space Museum, then check out artifacts from aviation legends, including the Wright brothers, Amelia Earhart, and Buzz Aldrin. Discover new perspectives revolutionizing the science world, learn about an often overlooked but overutilized utility, and exercise your creativity at the Fleet Science Center.

And laugh, cry, and marvel in awe as the pros of The Old Globe perform Kim’s Convenience, the award-winning comedy that inspired the popular series, from May 15 to June 14.
There’s nowhere else in Balboa Park quite like WorldBeat Cultural Center. The institution celebrates African diaspora and indigenous cultures around the world using art, music, dance, and education. The building, a renovated water tower covered in colorful murals, houses a performing arts center, museum, gift shop, cafe, and outdoor classroom.
If you’d like a side of nature with your culture, Balboa Park has you covered there, too. Stroll through the gardens of the Japanese Friendship Garden & Museum, a monument to the relationship between San Diego and its sister city, Yokohama, Japan. Inspired by traditional Japanese design dating back centuries, the 10-acre respite features a living exhibition that showcases plants native to both cities.
