Cutting back on alcohol comes with a bevy of health benefits

A social wellness movement is encouraging people to take a closer look at their relationship with alcohol, and its impact on their physical and mental health. Known as the “sober curious” movement, it focuses on reevaluating alcohol use and choosing to opt out at times. That could mean giving up drinking forever, or significantly cutting back on the amount consumed. And with the soaring popularity of alcohol-free spirits, mocktails and sober bars, it’s seemingly on the rise.
