San Diego Magazine is looking for a detail-driven, creatively-minded Production Coordinator to help bring our campaigns and stories to life across print, digital, and social media.
In this dynamic role, you’ll collaborate across departments—sales, marketing, and editorial—to ensure every campaign runs smoothly, every ad looks perfect, and every story is beautifully presented. Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid) | Compensation: $20/hour | Reports to: President / COO
What You’ll Do
Production Coordination
- Collect creative assets from our sales team to support print and digital campaigns.
- Manage ad builds, proofing, and delivery to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Gather assets for internal marketing initiatives and events.
- Compile post-campaign performance reports to share with clients.
- Set up and deploy digital sales deliverables, including:
- Email newsletters (sponsored content, dedicated blasts, island ads)
- Website placements (banners, adhesion units, lightboxes)
- Sponsored blog posts aligned with our editorial voice
- Support editorial projects with tasks like image collection, crediting, and file organization.
Social & Digital Support
- Assist the Social Media Coordinator in scheduling and posting content.
- Capture quick, authentic mobile videos that reflect our local community and brand tone.
What We’re Looking For
- A highly organized multitasker who thrives in a creative, fast-paced environment.
- Someone who can comfortably switch between sales assets, editorial needs, and digital production in a single day.
- Experience with marketing tools, ad platforms, and social media schedulers.
- Basic video or photo editing skills (iPhone-level is great!).
- A collaborative spirit, problem-solving mindset, and love for storytelling.
