More than 500 people came to the resort’s Arroyo Terrace for the annual festival, which highlights the best food, wine, and beer produced in Southern California. Twenty chefs from around the county, including A.R. Valentien executive chef Jeff Jackson, Matt Gordon of Sea & Smoke, and Javier Plascencia of Bracero Cocina, prepared dishes using meats, seafood, and produce raised from Temecula to Point Loma. A portion of the day’s proceeds benefited Slow Food Urban San Diego, a nonprofit that advocates for communities to have more access to locally grown foods.
