Sixty-six years ago, Gene Kelly danced his way through the City of Lights in George and Ira Gershwin’s An American in Paris, and now that movie musical is making its way to the San Diego stage. The 2015 Broadway hit follows the romantic story of an American soldier and an alluring French ballerina in postwar Paris.

Directed and choreographed by Tony Award–winner Christopher Wheeldon, who led the show’s Broadway run, this adaptation keeps the Gene Kelly legacy tapping away. Who could ask for anything more?
