Few songs encapsulate the beauty of living quite like Louis Armstrong’s “What a Wonderful World.” Though the future can oftentimes seem anything but certain, 95-year-old artist Joe Valentino is channeling Armstrong’s wide-eyed optimism through What a Wonderful World, his artistic Legacy Project at ACE Gallery. Hoping to stoke the curiosity of young creators, Valentino has created nine stunning paper art pieces, each displaying lyrics from Armstrong’s unifying anthem. The exhibition will have its opening reception this Saturday (5-7 p.m.), and Valentino’s work will remain at the gallery permanently following the exhibition.

Study the influence of the world’s most notorious street artist through the traveling tribute exhibition The Art of Banksy Without Limits, opening this Friday inside the Activity Center at Del Mar Fairgrounds. Though his pseudonym is known worldwide for larger-than-life graffiti installations and satirical, anti-establishment messaging, Banksy’s true identity remains unknown to the public. The Art of Banksy Without Limits will feature 200 works that honor Banksy’s most significant pieces, with the collection including prints, sculptures, an infinity room, and a section highlighting his recent Ukraine street murals.
