On February 26, more than 140 guests wined and dined at Callie in East Village to raise money for Feeding San Diego’s School Pantry Program. The nonprofit’s third annual Pairings with a Purpose Dinner Party featured a three-course meal of the restaurant’s favorite dishes, live and silent auctions, a raffle, and a paddle raise. Also during the dinner, Feeding San Diego announced that Callie had helped raise enough over the past three years to fund a pantry at nearby Burbank Elementary. The new pantry is expected to serve 100 households per month.
