More than 600 supporters of Scripps Mercy Hospital celebrated the institution’s 125-year history at the annual Mercy Ball at the Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier. At the 1920s- and marine-themed party, guests feasted on fine cuisine, enjoyed live musical entertainment, and participated in a high-energy live auction. The sold-out event raised $539,000 to improve the delivery of care and to modernize facilities at Scripps Mercy in Hillcrest, which has one of the most active maternal and child health programs in San Diego County, as well to support programs at the Chula Vista campus.
