FREE Elder Fraud Workshops and Financial Stability Resource Fair

About the Event

As elder fraud continues to escalate nationwide, the San Diego Seniors Community Foundation (SDSCF) is bringing a series of free community events to San Diego County this May with their “Elder Fraud Workshop and Financial Stability Resource Fairs” to give seniors, caregivers, and families both the knowledge and the connections they need to stay safe and financially secure. These events are made possible in part through a transformational gift of more than $200,000 from the Wells Fargo Foundation, supporting SDSCF’s broader Elder Fraud Prevention and Financial Stability education efforts across Southern California. These are just resource fairs these are about helping stabilize seniors’ finances in real time, not just education.

Each event combines two much needed programs and resources under one roof. The Elder Fraud Prevention Workshop equips attendees with practical, hands-on knowledge to recognize and resist today’s most sophisticated scams, including AI-powered voice cloning, spoofed numbers, and deepfake videos that can fool even highly educated professionals. The Financial Stability Resource Fair connects seniors and families with local organizations and services that support long-term financial wellbeing. Pre-register and enter to win the attendee prize drawing! Register at: sdscf.org/elder-fraud/ or email: [email protected] with your name and event location.
