4rd Annual North Park SALSA FEST Invites Foodies to Crown “Best Salsa” As Local Restaurants Go Head-to-Head in Fiery Competition

Mark your calendars, San Diego’s hottest family-friendly foodie competition, North Park SALSA FEST invites San Diegans to taste and rate salsas from beloved local restaurants at a vibrant community celebration on Saturday, May 3, 11:30am-5pm at North Park Mini Park.

Spicing-up the heart of San Diego’s North Park neighborhood, known for its creative culinary and cultural scene, the fourth annual North Park SALSA FEST will feature live music performances, food trucks, a refreshing beer garden, fun kid’s activities, festive ballet folklorico performances, and of course, popular local restaurants serving their finest salsas for attendees to savor and rate their favorites. The community-centered celebration benefits extracurricular activities for more than 400 students at Jefferson Elementary School in North Park.

This year’s restaurant line-up features popular local restaurants including Original 40, Swami’s Cafe, Panchita’s Kitchen, Fairplay, Bivouac Ciderworks, Thorne Brewing, North Park Beer Co., Mike Hess Brewing, Seek Beer Co., two-time Best Salsa winner Tribute Pizza, and reigning Salsa Fest champs Thai Time. Salsa tasting tickets include a tray of tortilla chips and salsas from each participating restaurant.

At the Door: Tickets will be available for $20.
Free Admission: While the event is free to attend, a ticket is required for salsa tasting. All those participating in salsa tasting will have the opportunity to vote for the “Best Salsa” winner.
