Hillary and Clinton by Lucas Hnath is a sharp and thought-provoking exploration of power, marriage, and ambition set against the backdrop of a fictionalized 2008 presidential campaign. The play imagines an alternate universe where Hillary, a determined politician, and her husband Bill navigate the complexities of their relationship and the relentless pressures of public life. With wit and humanity, Hnath examines the personal and political challenges faced by individuals under the glare of public scrutiny, offering a nuanced and unconventional take on the figures at its center.
