San Diego Chinese Food Tour

About the Event

Join Wild Foodie Tours and immerse yourself in Chinese culture as you enjoy a traditional gourmet Chinese meal with Peking Duck–the National Dish of China–carved tableside with tender slices of roast duck and crispy skin, served with hoisin sauce, sliced scallion and cucumber, and wrapped in a steamed Chinese bun, in addition to lettuce wraps with minced duck and vegetables, and duck soup. Or, enjoy a traditional Cantonese meal of your choice with three dishes. Both options include your choice of traditional Chinese tea. You’ll also learn about the history of Peking Duck as a symbol of Chinese culture and heritage, proper etiquette when dining out with the Chinese, the correct way to use chopsticks, and gain insight into Chinese history and culture.

After the meal, we’ll take you on a walking tour through the Asian Cultural District of San Diego and end at a popular Asian supermarket for some quick shopping. Celebrate with us China and Hong Kong’s rich culinary heritage and experience why we are one of the top foodie countries in the world!

You get: a Chinese-American tour guide who specializes in Chinese cuisine, a traditional Chinese meal of your choice with tea, insight into Chinese history and culture, resources in San Diego to learn more about Chinese culture, and an Asian supermarket shopping excursion.

Prepare to enter the Dragon’s Gate to savor the culinary masterpiece once reserved for the Emperor of China.
