The Latin Dead Celebrates Day of the Dead

About the Event

The Latin Dead, the San Diego-based all-star ensemble renowned for their dynamic fusion of Grateful Dead music with Latin rhythms, is set to make their hometown debut with an electrifying celebration of Día de los Muertos at The Soap Factory. With their unique style, The Latin Dead draws a vibrant connection between the Grateful Dead’s iconic music and the Day of the Dead’s spirit of honoring life, death, and legacy. Just as Día de los Muertos embraces remembering loved ones with joy and reverence, The Latin Dead aims to bring people together in a celebration that transcends time, culture, and musical genres.

Attendees can look forward to an incredible lineup of experiences including The Latin Dead live, a spectacular lighting show by San Diego Liquid Lights, live painting from local artist David Lozeau, local vendors, performance by Cumbia Machin, an interactive Ofrenda installation for everyone and much more. The evening promises to be a colorful convergence of culture, art, and music—a true tribute to the Day of the Dead.
