A Modern General Store Thrives at Liberty Station

The team behind Moniker Warehouse opens Moniker General
Moniker General

By Archana Ram

Retail loves slashing: a guitar shop slash yoga studio, a barbershop slash bar, a surf shop slash smoothie stand. The new Moniker General is a store and hangout in one. While its sister property Moniker Warehouse is a downtown workspace for makers and artists, the retail-oriented Moniker General is stocked with polished, minimalist items, many of which are local, like Norden Goods soap, Affinità surfboards, and Rylee & Cru kids’ clothing.

Not in the mood to shop? They’re happy just to have you sit and stay awhile. The space has a 32 North Brewing Co. beer bar and coffee area decked out with the store’s eponymous line of furniture, all of which is available for sale. Shopping just got a little more efficient.
